gall bladder issues--info

Hello all!
I've been seeing more and more posts about gall bladder issues lately...

I've also been looking "longingly" at my patches (have been on Lupron, no hormones)
So I pulled out the "information for the patient" page that comes with my patch...

Gallbladder disease:

Generally women who use oral estrogen medicines after menopause are more likely to develop gallbladder disease. They may need surgery more often than women who do not use oral estrogens. It is not yet known whether use of estradiol skin patches is associated with an increased risk of gallbladder disease.

I had no clue until I read this...I have no gallbladder issues, but just hoping to pass on some info.

Sabrina:

Wow !! Now that IS interesting ! And of course we all suspected that gallbladder problems had "something" to do with our hysts - we just didnt know WHAT. That is something.
You just never know what you might learn when you start reading those little pamphlets - there are so many things we arent told. Kudos to you ! I am sure all the others will be interested in this. Have you posted it over in the jungle ?
Thanks for the info Sabrina !

Hi Susan,
No--I didn't post over in the jungle, I should, though.

It's terrible to say, the only part I read is how/where to put the patch LOL...we need to read the fine print.

I hope you're feeling better,
Sabrina
