well i am well recovered from hysterectomy, but now everything left has decided to fall. dr. said it is not bad enough for surgery and i thought i was getting pessary today, but now that isn't happening either. urologist said it has to be alot worse than what mine is. but i did find out my bladder is not working right, so i am schedule for cystoscope and uretheral stretch on the 17th dr. said he is also going to go up ureters and kidneys and take a look around. hopefully this will be it for awhile, sometimes i think i could handle the pain and periods compared to this, i thought i was suppose to feel great and full of energy by now.

((Sharon)),
I'm sorry you are having further problems It can be so disheartening to have this surgery to take away our pain & problems to only be suffering further/additional complications...
It can take up to a year, longer for some, to fully recover Energy levels seem to be the last thing to come back...
There are several ((Sisters)) here who are experiencing bladder troubles, I'm sure they'll be along to share their personal experiences
Good Luck Sharon..I hope your upcoming tests will reveal the problem & it can be taken care of Please keep us posted...(((hugs)))

Hi,
I understand how you must feel. It's awful to have these problems and also be so tired. When you said everything has fallen, exactly what? Bladder prolapse, rectocele ect? And how bad is bad according to your doctor? I had lots of uro tests over the past several months. They looked all the way up to my kidney too. I didn't like the test, but it was endurable at least. I'm having a bladder sling surgery at the end of the month. I had to have the uro tests first though. Perhaps you doctor will have a better idea of how to help you after the tests. I will keep you in my prayers. Let us know how you are doing.
Love, Light, Blessings

I share your disappointment concerning shattered expectations of feeling great after a hyst. My surgery included A+P repair + Burch with my hyst, and I had a vaginal prolapse/enterocele within 3 months. My recommendation is to find a specialist - a urogyn - and "get the job done right". My biggest regret about my first surgery is that I did not research the procedure/risks enough, and just went along with whatever my regular gyn said. I am now awaiting a second abdominal surgery with a "specialist".

Just noticed you're from GA. There is a great uro-gyn in Atlanta, but can't recall his name. Don't know if you live near Atlanta, but maybe a GA hystersister can send a recommendation.
