Sisters! Has anyone been RX the muscle relaxer Parafon Forte? Doc changed me from Soma to that yesterday and so far I feel NO EFFECT at all from it. Anyone with any experience, I'd love to hear it. TIA

Parafon Forte ANYONE?

I've never used this med, I have been taking Soma for a couple of years & have gotten good results from it Was their a reason your Dr switched or did you want to try something else? Hopefully, someone here has some experiences to share...here is some info I found about it:

Parafon Forte ANYONE?

Years ago I tried Parafon Forte, but it did nothing for me.
Prior to that, I had used Flerxeril and now use Zanaflex.

I've never tried Soma, but a friend with severe back problems
uses them and swears by them.

appreciate the input

Not really sure why he switched me. Maybe just a matter of different docs preferring different meds. I can take 2 500 mg tabs 4x a day -- maybe his thinking was I could take it more often??? I'm going to give it a bit longer, but if it doesn't help will ask for a change again. Soma did wonders for me!! But they say you can build up a tolerance to them quickly. Zanaflex is another good one! I'll let you know what happens!
