Chemo #7 Has Not Been Pleasant

The new clinic is wonderful--big, bright, airy, more private--but by the time I got here about half an hour later I could tell that this chemo wasn't going to treat me well. Weds. wasn't too bad--I ate a meal. Thursday was all downhill, or down on the sofa, down in bed (got out at 10:15 a.m.) and I decided that even if I could get up off the sofa after a good bout of up-chucking clear liquids (all I'd had) I couldn't go to my meeting. Today I got out and drove to one special place and back but otherwise was on the sofa. I did try about half of the dinner and it sounded and tasted good. Let's hope. Let's also hope it's wiping out any cancer cells that dared to remain in me. I do have to have blood next week (Dr. was overly optimistic I could do it Weds.-Thurs.) as red cells are low, lower, really low. Kvetch, kvetch, kvetch. Why couldn't I have one of those easy chemos like Nov. when I was up and out and about normally the next day? Oh well...

I am so sorry to hear that chemo #7 is being so nasty for you.
Hopefully you'll perk up over the weekend.
Did you do the comparison of your ca 125 with the two different labs? Are they giving you any idea as to when the carbo treatment might finish?

(((Ellen)))

I'm sorry you're having such a bad time! Hopefully things are easing up a little bit now and you are moving around and eating some. Hang in there. And any cancer cells left would be surely stupid to keep hanging around. I'm sure they've heard by now that "women are stronger than cancer" and "resistance is futile"!

Keeping you in my 'ers!

Hang in there. Carbo can be rough but powerful. Those cancer cells have left the building.
