vbjack,

my doc said something along the same lines..........he said that some women do great and he only sees them for their yearly visits and for other women it's like opening a can of worms......I'm sure he wasn't basing that on any sort of study, just his own experience within his practice.

I'm one of those women who fall into the can of worms category........never had bowel or urinary troubles until I had my hyst and now between my bowels and continual adhesion pain.....I have no doubt about what I would do if I could turn back time......I think it's a crying shame that we aren't forewarned of possible complications...

I haven't met too many women who are torn by their decision to have had the surgery.....most are either glad they did it or they aren't .......it just goes to show how different we all are.

I also think it reflects on the fact that so many dr's are jumping the gun these days and doing these hysterectomies instead of exploring alternative therapies.....for those women who were having periods 28 days out of the month, it was probably a great choice for them and an obvious end to their affliction, but for those of us who had undiagnosed pain and the hyst wasn't the miracle cure...well, it's no wonder that we feel differently about it.

Love and 's to all.

You're right vb, it does go to show that we are all different. That's what makes each of us special! And what makes HysterSisters so special.
