Pelvic pain....still!

Hi everyone! This is my first post. Up to now I've just been reading the posts hoping someone has had a similar experience but I haven't found anything yet.
I am 16 weeks post op. I've been complaining about pelvic pain to my Dr almost since the moment I came out of surgery (SAH).
It's hard to describe the pain. It is sharp pain on one or both sides. At times it's worse when I go to the bathroom or when I've been very busy, but sometimes its not. What really rattled me was the other day I had pain during intercourse, like before surgery. That hadn't happened since before surgery.
During every scheduled post op appointment, I'd tell my Dr about my pain, he would say everything was fine and I needed to give my body more time to heal. During these exams, he would do a pelvic to check for adhesions and test my urine. They were both negative.
The pain is bearable. I've been living mostly a normal life. The nurse at the Dr told me to alternate Tylenol and Ibupofen for pain. I still can't believe 16 weeks after surgery, I take meds for pain 2-3 times a day.
I haven't been back to the dr since my last post op check after 8 weeks. It is humiliating to go to the dr and have him tell you nothing is wrong.
I want to believe the Dr that nothing is wrong. Maybe I really am to blame because I have bad habits. I drink too many soft drinks. I don't exercise, etc.
I just don't know what to do. Any ideas?

Pelvic pain....still!

First of all, don't be humiliated just because your dr can't find what's causing your pain--I think alot of women here have experienced the same thing-phantom pains with no known cause.

I am 4 weeks past my 2nd surgery in 4 months, the 1st was my hysterectomy, and 4 weeks ago I had a fistula repaired from my bladder. I am feeling pretty good but I still have pains in my vagina and pelvis. My dr told me it takes a long time for some of us to heal-even a year is not unheard of. If you can manage the pain, give it some time to see if it gets better. If it gets worse or you just can't take it anymore, try another dr till you get some answers!!

I will be praying for you and I'll be here to listen if you need to vent!

Hugs, Louise
