Massive THRUSH!!

Yep. Here I am at home where I finally got me a good and saw the problem in my mouth and throat. Big Time yeast infection. When I told them in the hospital I had a yeast infection they gave me Canesten but didn't even LOOK in my mouth!!! (Didn't look anywhere else either, just took my word for it. ) My family called in a prescription this morning and I now have some friendly Nystatin.

What's with these doctors (I must have seen a dozen of them while in hospital, right?) who have blinders on unless the part of your body affected is in THEIR specialty??

Doctors who see all of me are so few and far between

Otherwise still doing fine.

Massive THRUSH!!

Oh gosh (((Joselle))), I'm so sorry you have to deal with thrush too! You're right, the DRs often tend to focus only on one little area and not the whole patient. You'd think checking for stuff like that would be routine in post op patients since we've all been on antibiotics and had our resistance lowered, making us prime targets for thrush and vaginal yeast infections. Grr

Are you eating yogurt or taking a probiotic daily? Now is the time to re-establish those helpful bacteria in your body before the yeasties get a chance to mobilize for another attack!
