Uterine/cervical cancer - a friend

Hello everyone. I've been lurking on this board. A friend of mine was diagnosed with either cervical or uterine cancer several weeks ago. She was having heavy bleeding, lower back pain and fatigue. She always went for check-ups. . It was a tremendous shock to all of us. They are not able to remove the tumor as of yet because it is invading the pelvic walls. They are treating her with radiation every day (for 25 treatments) and cisplatin (chemo) once a week. The doctor told her last week that the tumor was breaking up some but still not sure if it could be removed. They told her when they found it that they were not sure where the cancer originated from. They ran many test and fortunately it was not found anywhere else in her body. They also said she had a mass on her ovary. I am here in support of my friend. I call her regularly. I have also offered to take her for treatments. I thought about stopping by to greet her after she has had here radiation and give her moral support. Her attitude is very good. She is feeling very tired from the chemo. They gave her some painful IV for her anemia. I just wanted to see if anyone else has been through this same experience. I am very impressed with all of you ladies. I truly believe that with prayer and a good attitude this can be beaten. I apologize for going on so long about this. Thanks for listening!
