Am I getting my period??

It sure feels like it....

I am sooo bloaded, I am almost six weeks post op and I was having a great recovery. No swelly belly, no bleeding, no pain
I went back to work after two weeks
(my dr. said it was ok). I had a VH, with no incisions. Kept my ovaries.

For the last two or three days, I feel like I'm going to explode!
It feels like PMS, I thought I was done with this?

I am going away next week and I don't want this ball of fluid in my lower ab.... any suggestions! It is extremely uncomfortable.

Will this ever go away???

Am I getting my period??

Hi there,

I didn't get to keep my ovaries, but I've read alot here by those who have, and they do experience those old familiar premenstrual symptoms, too.

It's probably more severe right now, since the internal surgery is still trying to heal.

You might want to ask your DR about this, see if there are any suggestions for you.

Take care,

Well...

I was told (since I only have my R-ovary now) that I'll still feel ovulation and probably the close of the Luteal Cyst that happens after ovulation (during Luteal Phase) which is right before the start of the endometrium sloughing off - however - there's no uterus, so there's no endometrium.

I'm pretty curious how this will be for me in a week or so; I'm kinda feeling twinges on the ovary myself.

Am I getting my period??

I kept both of my ovaries and we have been on a wonderful journey. After my suregyer in June of 2002, I would tell my doctor that something wasn't right. Just kept getting the old thing about having my ovaries and nothing should be bothering me. After moving to a new city and new doctor, we found out what was wrong. I was eight months out of surgery and not making any estrogen. After being on Estrace for two weeks, did they wake up. To the point that I took Vicodin at night to sleep and kill the pain. The new doctor feels bad for is this was done earlier it wound't hurt as bad. He did say that now they are awake that each month should be less pain if I feel anything at all. But I will bloat and stuff like before, just no bleeding. Sure con't complain about that. It does feel like I need to go to the hall closet to get my "stuff" but am getting past that. I would rather deal with this then what I was doing before. Remember that you are still recovering and to ask any questions that you have.

Take Care,

Steffi
