10 "Positives" about Hysterectomy

Getting closer now, 6 sleeps to go! (If only I could get some)

Here I am at 5am Aussie eastern time and I've been up since 3. Gave up and eventually got out of bed and did some work on the 'puter then thought I'd log on and see what had been happening here with my sisters.

Ten positives are still a work in progress but I think I only need one more!

The list so far: (thanks for the help gals)

No more periods
No more PMS
Less places for cancer to develop
Lower Advil consumption (or Nurofen)
No more planning hols around your periods
No more forgetting to stock up on tampons
No more stained bedsheets or undies
Save heaps of $$ in "paper products"
Compulsory holiday (I can totally think of better places to visit though - Edinburgh castle would be much nicer I think!)

One more to go - come on now, group brainstorm required.

I hope hope hope this isn't insensitive! Really. But you said you were looking for one more positive, and this *may* be construed as a positive.

No more contraceptives?

If this is *not* a positive, many, many apologies! I honestly don't know whether this is a good or bad thing. :-)

1 more

I love them all! Here's another one. More room available in your purse because you don't have to carry around those "paper products"!

No more telling DH no because of pain or bleeding

No more sore boobs

No more staying housebound becasue it is so ad youdon't dare leave the house

hopefully no more iron supplements

no more premenstrual migraines

planning vacation around periods???, mine got so bad couldnt have ever figured out when it was going to start spotting or just plain start when it wasn't due or was overdue.

Hey, how about this one, can't wait to tell the gal at work who thought I was a wimp because she went around with a hct of 29 all the time and didn't have to stay home from work or be too worn out to do everything she was alwas used to doing. Hmmm, I sure would like to tell her maybe she had definitely better get checked herself after I tell her they found c ncer besides the fibroids.

I love them all girls. But the winner is......drumroll.....are4power with no more fear of wearing white. I'd forgotten about that one!!. I just deleted white from my shopping list for the bottom part of my attire. The others are great though and I'm sure we could get to 50 if we tried. But 10 is enough for now.
