Frustrated & Sad

Thank you so much! I will be praying for you from this side of the world.

My mom has been great, and I will be recuperating at my parents' house. My friends have also been great and are throwing a party for me tomorrow night. I'm such a chatty, vibrant, talkative, energetic person that I am blessed to know a lot of people -- even though I don't have a husband (still optimistic!), kids or pets.

The doctors have actually been really great. One (the internist) has called me at home three times. The gynecologist, who only saw me once, called me today. And the gynecological oncologist, who I will meet on Tuesday at my pre-op appointment, is supposedly a wonderful surgeon and a great guy. So I am feeling very cared for.

Still, I've been crying an awful lot. All these Sisterly Hugs mean a lot to me.

Lena -- will definitely send you an e-mail! :-) It's nice to find a friend who is my same age and going through some of the same stuff around the same time. Though I wish you weren't going through ANY of it.

Dorrie -- thanks for the pillow info! I did a search and found some info, then tried to delete my post, but the system wouldn't let me. :-) I'll go buy something small this weekend. Easier than dealing with mail order when surgery is early Thursday.

Thinking of you

I'm glad to hear your parents are nearby, and you can recuperate at their house. It's also great you have a lot of friends around. I have my DH but no other family nearby so my friends especially some people from church were a big comfort to me. It sounds like you've got a lot of support. The waiting really is the worst part!

More 's!

If you do

If you do think it over, please do go and ad your prayer to the boards. In my mind--prayers are such wonderful gits not deeds of selfishness.

Often times through the prayers I feel empowered and comforted because I know I am being proactive with what is going on with me and I know that I am in good hands!

Sometimes I even pray for big baskets of chocolate!!!!!!!!

I don't have the experiences that you do, but I am familar with waiting, fear, stress, and recovery!

You are in my thoughts.

Have Fun,
Jen
