Hi
The list is pretty comprehensive. Maybe ask if you will have any restrictions on stairs; about stool softeners after surgery (for home if needed); if you exercise regularly now you might want to ask when you can resume.
Ask them to answer as specifically as possible. Ex: how many times a day can I go up and down stairs, not just "limit the number of trips" What does that actually mean?
Best wishes!

Hi Angela,
Here are a couple that I thought of:
If you are on any medications or supplements, ask whether it's OK to take them the morning of surgery. Especially the supplements - they may need to be stopped a day or two in advance.
Ask if your hospital has private rooms, and request one. (I wish I had been in a private room)
If you are going to have general anesthesia, ask about an anti-nausea drug in your IV.
Ask what your doctor recommends, in case you need it, for gas or constipation.
I'm sure others will come along soon with more questions to ask. I hope you were able to get some sleep last night.
 s
