Endo again maybe?

I notice that some of you have had the same symptoms as I have. I'm having what feels like menstrual cramps lately. My lower back is hurting me also. I had diarrehea so bad the other day that I thought I was going to faint. It did not last long. The gas pains were awful. I've never been diagnosed with IBS but I'm beginning to wonder if that is part of it. Or , I can be having a reoccurrence of the endo. My hysterectomy did not show any endo though. Several years ago, I had a bowel resection for endo. My doctor prescribed birth control pills in December. I have not tried them yet because I am afraid it will cause more moodiness. I have had battles with depression for years. I probably should. I don't know what I did with the prescription order. It is good to know that I am not alone but it sure feels lonely sometimes. I hate to always complain. I will be going back to see my doctor next month for a recheck. I probably need to go see a gastro. I also feel like my remaining ovary is hurting. This is the pits! Sometimes I feel like I am on the road but I keep veering back into on-coming traffic.

Couldn't have said it better myself! I was put on the bc pill at 9 weeks post op because of multiple cysts on my remaining ovary. It has actually helped level my moods out. I am on a way more even keel than I was. I do find they decrease my libido though...can't win for losing.

Dara,

's to you. I'm sorry that you're having these problems. It's good that you have an appointment to see your Dr, maybe he will be able to shed some light on some of these issues for you. Especially be sure to stay on top of the ovary type pain. If your Dr isn't able to feel anything with an internal exam, ask him/her to do an ultrasound.

I had severe bouts with diarrhea after my TAH/RSO and went to a gasrto doc and went through all the wonderful tests that they perform, only to be told that it was IBS. In the end, it actually turned out to be adhesions which is also what was causing my back to hurt.

I hope you are feeling better soon. If it's been quite a while since that rx was written for the BC pills, the pharmacist may not honor it and it may not be a good idea to take it without talking with your Dr first anyway considering you are having other symptoms.

Good Luck.
