FAH Related? Ulcers, Elevated Lipase, Test for Gastrin levels, Pancreatitis

Hi Ladies,

It's been a while for me.....my surgery was back in November, and I've recovered beautifully from THAT.

Here's the situation... shortly after surgery I went to ER with stomach pain, belching, nausea,etc..... 2 x! It took weeks but Long story short.... finally saw a GI who did an Endoscopy and found 3 Duodenal ulcers.

Ok, so I went on treatment with Prevacid for those....seemed to get all better, then the symptoms recurred. Now I have the pain below my ribcage very frequently, have spells of nausea, diarrhea and (I hate to say) yucky, irregular bowel movements.

Annnny way, so my GI ordered blood tests, and I called today for results. Everything on the CBC was pretty normal, they are still waiting on the results on my 'Gastrin levels', but the girl said my Lipase level is high (from 69 in November to 90 now).!

Well, everthing I can find on this stuff seems to point to either Pancreatitis, some liver/pancreas/gallbladder problems, OR something called Zollinger-Ellison Sydrome, where my body produces too much acid...(hence the gastrin test).

The ZES reads to be serious!!

Any ladies have a glue on ANY of this!?? I am very concerned about my pains coming back, and now I am freaking out that I have a tumor or something!

I am scared! Does any of this register with anyone? I could use some support!

Thanks so much,
Cori
