Ovarian pain

Hello

Just a quick history in case you haven't been following my story.....

I had my TAH 9 months ago. I kept my ovaries and have had cyclical pain since my surgery. Each month it seems to get worse. This time it's a little different.......my left side hurts really bad. Every month for about a week, I exerience alot of pelvic pain and alot of it is on one or both sides where my ovaries are. Well, this month, my pain is mostly on my left side. It is more "nagging" than usual and it hurts to bend over, to walk up the stairs, to laugh, sneeze...........

I'm starting to get a little more concerned about this pain. Any of you that have/have had cysts......do you have pain all the time or just during "that time"? I'm starting to wonder if that's what's going on with me. If you have been following my story, you might remember that my gyn has done nothing to figure out what this pain is exept for sending me to a urologist. I was diagnosed with IC and am doing alot better thanks to the IC meds, but I still have that cyclical pain. But this time it seems different. I almost wish it would just get bad so I could have a good reason to go to the ER so that maybe I could finally have an ultrasound done!

BTW....my gyn is aware of what I am dealing with because the PT he refered me to, sent him a report telling him that my IC symptoms are better, but not my cyclical pain. She sent it on Thursday and I haven't heard anything back yet, but I guess that was just yesterday. I'm almost not expecting to hear from him. When I go back to my urologist in a month, I will put a little pressure on him to do something to figure out what this pain is! I just keep imagining that I have something(like a cyst) growing on my ovary and nothing is being done about it! But then again....maybe it's all in my head Just a little joke

Ovarian pain

((((pasdechat)))))) I'm so sorry you're dealing with all this pain

You might recall that, in the early months after my hyst, I also had a lot of PMS symptoms, including extreme cramping, lower back pains and pelvic pains.

However, in my case, the symptoms improved as my ovaries recovered from the shock of surgery and from the removal of the uterus.

I did have what is suspected to be an ovarian cyst once. It was a lot like the pain you describe and lasted for about week. It happened during "that" time.

My sister has what is suspected to be ovarian cysts and she only has pain during the ovulation part of her cycle. However, it is hasn't be fully diagnosed.

In your case, since this is a new pain, I wouldn't wait for your doctor to call: I would call him!!! either that or head for the ER.

Sending lots of healing s your way. Please let us what your doctor says.
