Hoping to get a cancellation
Hi all,
Well I have a LAVH scheduled for April 10 for a soft-ball size fibroid and large uterus, but the pain has gotten nauseatingly bad. I'm on a couple different pain meds but I cannot imagine taking them for another month, I'll be a junkie! (One is Darvocet). So I decided to speak up and ask the doctor if there was any way we could move this up.
You know what, there were no questions asked, no one made me feel like a whiny baby, they were totally understanding and they are doing what they can.
So, I am waiting....
Keep the fingers crossed, fellow LIW's...
Pam

It's good to know that they are taking you seriously. I agree that I wouldn't want to be on pain medications for that long. Darvacet is fairly strong and I'm sure you could become dependent after a while. You'll be on some pain meds after surgery and you'll want to be off of those as soon as you really don't need them any longer.
Blessings,
TC
