I didn't listen!

well you were all right and I of course being so much smarter then everyone, (not!) decided I was doing so well I deserved to be out.

I had a two week visit wih the dr. because of bleeding and an infection. Infection gone, bleeding much lighter, should be fine right?

I decided we should go out to dinner that night after being up and about most of the day, after that a little sore, but okay. Didn't sleep well, tossed and turned, bleeding abit heavier. Not good enough I say!

The next day I had my mom take my ds and I to my son's dental appt. Sit for 45 minutes. Okay that's over let's go to the grocery store.
$95.00 later we are home and I unload bags. Nothing heavy though.

Well my dh was incensed that I went to the store and today I feel terrible and only slept 4 hours. I am concerned because all of a sudden I don't sleep. Is that hormones?

Anyway, I know you all warn not to get busy as soon as you feel better, but I guess I am just stupid and stubborn.

Take it easy

My TAH BSO was 13 years ago. I had no problems. But those first 2 - 3 weeks you sit around and lay around and feel sooooo good. You feel ready to go again. But you find it doesn't take much at all to tire you out.

Slow and easy does it.

I didn't listen!

Hey there Lorelei!

Now don't be so hard on yourself, you're not the first princess to be snagged by the pillow . Now that you've learned your lessen, take it easy sweetie. I know when you start to feel good, that's the time when you could easily overdo (I know I did a few times!). But please, do as Mary suggested, slow and easy does it. Take care s

I didn't listen!

Its okay, I believe most of us didn't believe it until we experienced it for ourselves. Don't fret though this too shall past and you will start regaining strength again. I think each week was milestone for me with some set backs usually because of the same eagerness you had I had Please continue to pamper yourself and if you are up and around don't push it to the limit. It is important to build your endurance very slowly(hard to do but you can) so listen to your body and rest lots still.

I did find doing creative things helped with the loonies of being stuck at home. I matched socks and clean out junk drawers right at the couch. Puzzles and brainy things too. Just remember if you do sit for longer periods of time, laying flat will make a significant difference if you can for resting periods. I thought sitting up watching TV was resting but after listening to these dear sisters I could see how my abs still were at work helping me sit up. Laying flat helped significantly in down times.

You're almost there, hang in and before you know it you will be the expert and giving lots of advice too!
