My very last period! YAY!

It just dawned on me while I was standing in line at the supermarket today.....This may very well be the last box of Tampax that I will ever buy for myself! Thats something to look forward to. That and being able to wear pretty panties without worries. YAY for some good thoughts!

I am so happy for you. I can't wait to be on the other side! Only 35 days til surgery for me, but who's counting. I figure I will have possibly two more periods before my surgery. (one of them when I go in) How are you holding up? Good luck.

Me too.

Finally back on tampons today after the flood to end all floods. Very well timed to remind me just why I am having this surgery. And PAIN - I had no idea my cramps had become so terrible since have been dosing with ibuprofen at the minute of first flow for the past year. (which I could not use this time as surgery is one week from today). I cannot imagine the pain after surgery could be any worse than what I went through Friday! And I know there will be bleeding after surgery but I'll bet it isn't going to require changing an overnight pad every hour. And no more freezing in place like a startled deer as I give birth to yet another gigantic clot. I'm more than ready! That was the last time! Hallelujah! Can hardly believe it. Giddy with anticipation!

Looking forward to next week!!

Next week I will have my LAST period too!! I can't wait. I have had 32 years of very painful periods and I deserve at least that many years w/o! I loved your description of "freezing in place like a startled deer" and "giving birth to another gigantic clot!! I laughed outloud since I too go through that every 32 days. Surgery is scheduled for April 2nd! I am thinking about having a pre-surgery "coming out" party...since it is all "coming out". I was going to pass out my left over pads and tampons as favors!! My friends think I am crazy but then again, they aren't full of endometriosis.

My very last period! YAY!

I love the idea of having a "coming out" party and giving away your tampons as party favors. what a great sense of humor you must have. I was going to have a tampon burning party, but my sister asked if she could have my leftovers when I'm done with them. (money is pretty tight for her right now) So I guess maybe I'll (symbollically) burn one and give her the rest.

Last period too!

My surgery is scheduled for March 28th and I too am having my last period. Cramps are horrible and can't wait to not have to deal with them or the clots or the bloating. Dr says I will still have PMS which seems strange to me. Maybe it will be a little better since I will be having one ovary removed. I too plan to burn the pads (haven't been able to wear tampons because the cramps are so bad - thats been the worst part because pads are the PITS!!!

And just wait till you're post-op! You'll probably be doing what I do..
In the supermarket, I make it a point to go down the "feminine hygiene" aisle just so I can do a little dance, yell out "Woo Hoo!!!", and continue on my merry way with a smug little smile and a spring in my step !!

My very last period! YAY!

Well, everytime I see this thread, I think to myself, "Show off!"

Seriously though, I'm happy for you and can't WAIT until I can say the same thing!!! My dr. put me on depo provera until the surgery, thinking that would stop everything, but noooooooooo.... So now I'm twice as disappointed because I thought I was through, too!

Okay, enough whining on your thread!! LOL!

Congrats, and happy dance for YOU!

tmcummings, I used to live in Round Rock! So howdy, former neighbor!
