inguinal hernia update

Hi, ladies! Good news! The CT scan didn't show any hernias (dr. said small ones don't always show up on CT scans) and when the dr. examined me, it sure hurt where a hernia would be but he said he didn't feel the bulge he felt Friday night when I was in the E/R. He's not convinced that it's a hernia - he said it might be a pulled muscle instead - so he doesn't want to rush into surgery. Yay! And I've had much less pain than last week - I'm also not doing hardly anything.

He's keeping me on Relafen (an anti-inflammatory) for the next three weeks (I've already been on it a week) and he'll see me in three weeks. If it's a pulled muscle, which I hope is all it is, it should be a lot better by then, so he should be able to tell with an examination. I'll have to take it easy for the next three weeks but that's OK - I can handle that! After all, I *am* a !

Thanks for all your help and prayers!

~Sue

Sue...

I am so glad that they did not find a hernia. I wish I had your luck.

Hopefully the pain will ease with the meds and it will turn out to be just a pulled muscle.

Keep us posted on it. I will keep you in my prayers!!

(((Sue))), Yay! While pulled muscles are no fun, it is such great news that it's not a hernia and it looks like you can escape having another surgery. Woo-hoo!

Plenty of rest now, so you can heal...
