I thank everyone who writes on this board, finally someone to talk to, because I feel I'm going crazy, worry about this, I will be having a TAH in the next few weeks, I had a myomectomy in 98, and fibroids have come back, I also am severe anemic, During my periods I can't even get up hardly, I had to go to the ER 3 weeks ago, because I went to work and people knew I looked bad they rushed me to the ER and I immediately got blood transfusions, my hemoglobin was down to 4.4, I know friends and family mean well, but all I get is lectures about this and everyone's opinion, is it just me. Also since getting all of the blood last month my period know was worse than ever-I thought I was at deaths door,
thanks sisters-your da bomb

Hi suzyb ,

Welcome to Hyster Sisters!!

While I'm very sorry that you are facing surgery, I am glad that you found us and posted to introduce yourself. I think most of us know what you mean about family and friends giving their opinions - they mean well, but sometimes they don't understand what all we have been through already.

Besides the message boards, you'll find lots of friends to talk to in our

Chatroom Calendar

You'll also want to read our pre-op and post-op hints to help you get ready for your surgery and recovery:

Pre-Op Hysterectomy Page

Post-Op Hysterectomy Page

I hope you'll continue to read and post any questions that you might have - we'll do our best to help.
