Why Do People Do This?????

Hello sisters!!

I am feeling a better today!! Pain is still there but I am keeping it under control the best I can.

I tried to call this morning and there are NO appts avaliable with my Dr. BUT she has all of my test results and hopefully she will call soon. If not I am persistant and will bug them until I get a call!! They dont call me persistant Pam for nothing..

I guess I have realized that feeling so down does nothing but make it worse, so I have to tell myself I AM going to get better eventually and I will be a stronger person in the end.

One thing that does make me a bit upset and wonder why people do this is when my grandmother called last night to see how I was doing she made me feel like I was SUPPOSE to feel down in the dumps since I am so far away from all of my family. They are all in Texas and we are in Virginia. I told my DH what she said, quote" I know you feel so isolated so far away from us and you must feel like you need your family close right now and it must be really hard on you there with no support from us, but we are still here for you" He asked me if I felt that way and I told him NO.. Mind you, I rarely spoke to mu Grandmother until a few months ago. We just never saw eye to eye about anything!

I love all of my family dearly, BUT since my mom died 7 years ago I really do not feel real close to anyone anymore. My mom was my rock and the one I talked to everyday (outrageous phone bills) and she was really the only one that I leaned on. Since she is gone I have learned to lean on my friends (what I have left) and DH (who just realized how much I really need him).

Why do people make you feel like you should be cracking up and can not handle things going on all at once? YES I have an ENORMOUS amount of medical problems right now, but I feel like I am handling them pretty well with the support I get from all of you and NOW DH. I WILL SURVIVE!! I will have my down moments and need to let it out, but I know I will get to the end of this road eventually..

Thanks to all for your continued support and prayers. I dont know what I would do without you all!! My Sisters, my 's

to all

Pam

Why Do People Do This?????

Pam:

My grandma is the queen of passive aggression, or has foot in mouth syndrome or is sensitivity-challenged ...

I don't know how many times she has "known" that something must just be "awful for me" when in fact it was no big deal. OH, yeah....she has a flair for the dramatic.

Anyway, I usually try to laugh it off.... oh that's just her being her weird self again and try not to take it to heart. Since she fails to push my buttons she usually only picks on my 2 sisters, because when she pushes their buttons, they take the bait and get angry.

BTW, she started on antidepressants about 8 weeks ago and she is a much happier camper. Much less combative than she was.

So, anyway, I can "relate". Hope your doc calls soon with your results!!!

Gee, your grandmother's comments sounded caring to me! I guess it must depend on your relationship, for sure, but it seems to me that she was attempting to be supportive.
