Nervous Nervous Butterflies

OH WOW....

I have been handling this pretty good, up to now, but now, oh boy, I have a tyrannosaurus-rex size butterfly in my stomach that is giving me fits!

I am looking forward to healing and being healthy again...I do want this surgery, I do feel I am ready for it...

So WHY THE BUTTERFLIES!!!

phew.... I'm going to have my light dinner as per my pre-op instructions (They said NOTHING HEAVY, EAT VERY LIGHT TODAY), and then about 6-7 they said to do the enema thing.

hoo boy will that be fun or what....lol

Then I am going to get a nice lovely bubblebath, light a candle, read a magazine, watch my favorite Monday night line-up (I'M A RAYMOND FAN BIG TIME!!) and then by the time it's over I'm usually asleep. (I'm not the night owl, by any stretch)

Tomorrow morning is the routine to take the kids to school. When I get home I'm doing the prep the doctor wants (Helloooo Massengil!!) and I'll pack my little bag, and then I'll be off to the castle.

Surgery is at 11:20, gotta be at the hospital at 9:45.

I can say all this very very calmly, I know just what I've got planned. But....

YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGH!!!!!!!!

I'm a quivering mass of butterflies!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

(deep breathing big time)

Man, I am now going to eat my 'last meal' and do the enema thing at 7pm.
Isn't it a joy to know that we are both out here doing the same thing ???
Good luck to you and me ! By this time tomorrow...we'll be through the surgery !!!

Nervous Nervous Butterflies

Hey girls

I am actually feeling very calm right now, had my full body massage today and it did wonders!! I am hugging the heating pad though, my body had to have it's last hurrah and the cramps are killing me. Dr said please don't take the mortrin 800's beginning 3 days ago due to chance of them thinning blood ... so here I am ... owie!!

I guess i'm lucky, don't have to do the bowel prep thing. I'll be off to the hospital at 11:00 a.m. have to be there at 11:30 a.m. for a 1:30 p.m. surgery. I should be home on Thursday

Good luck to all of you girlies!

almost there

Okay, I'm glad to know we're all in this together, all us April First-ers!!

One good thing to come from nervousness....My bowel prep should be no problem at all.... if you know what I mean....my nerves are taking care of any "clogging" issues allll by themselves.... (sorry ladies!!)

But, I will still do the duty....doctor's orders....

no advil...

Now I know how much pain, I really was in...I've been so adviled up that this week was pure h-e-l-l. They told me to stop as of Monday last week ! It was of course the worst week of my cycle (the never-ending cycle that it is!) and the week before surgery, to boot !
At least it kept me on the right track as to the WHY I am going through with this !
If I had an easy week...I may have tried to talk myself into believing that I could go on longer, like this.
My meal has been eaten ... though it surely didn't excite me --as I didn't feel like eating. Talk to me in three days, when I'll be starving ! right ?
How long do most of you plan to stay at the castle..for a TAH ?
Counting the Hours....

Nervous Nervous Butterflies

At least you have several good night's sleep and hospital food to look forward to! Hahaha

I can certainly relate to the butterflies, as I go for my hys on Wed. I am glad I got an afternoon time.

Try to not be too worried, the bath sounds like such a good idea...
