Experiences with ERT????

I had used it for a while but needed to go to the patch for other reasons. I have heard a lot of good things from premarin users. remember it has been around longer and more widely tested then any other estrogen replacement out there.

I had used it...

My doc had me on it for nearly two years (before my hyst.) and I had no problems with it, other tha initial adjustments to the "proper" dose for my system. Give it a try, you might do very well on it. Happy recovery!

Experiences with ERT????

I was put on 0.3 mg Premarin at 6 weeks post-op (I had a lot of endo, it is the smallest dosage available, doc felt it would be ok for me to take that small dose but would not increase it til I was 6 months post-op). At 6 months post-op the dosage was increased to .625 and I've been on that ever since. At one point I tried to change to some of the bio-identicals -- for a few different reasons........I had gained some weight, and I had read some things about Premarin that made me want to try other options. I tried the Climara patch, then Cenestin, then Estratest. I did not feel good on any of them and went back to the Premarin. At one point I tried doubling the dose to 1.25 but it was too much for me. I've been on .625 Premarin steadily for at least a year now.........actually probably a little longer. It works well for me and I finally learned to leave well enough alone!!

BTW -- the weight came off, I'm in better shape now than I've been in years, the Premarin works great for me, no problems with hot flashes or anything else.

Best of luck to you!!
