My sister

You may not remember me, I haven't posted to this list in a few months, but I had inquired many times re: my younger sisters ovarian cancer, and Margaret 321(Ellen) & KarenAnn, & Jeanine, and all of you who helped me during this journey, I would like to thank you for your advice, the websites (ovca) suggested, and tell you that my sister died yesterday, at 38 of ovarian cancer. As I write this I cannot believe it yet, but I do find incredible relief in knowing her suffering has ended, and if there is a heaven, I know she's there.

She lived two months longer then her Drs at Dana Farber said she would, they had given her a total of 2 weeks... she lived 8 weeks longer. Her courage and grace throughout this ordeal, that started June 8th 2002, has been incredible, and I'm so proud of her. I'm glad her struggles are over, though I know I will miss her for as long as I live.

God Bless you all, and I will continue to pray for all of you, and wish you much luck and strength in your struggles, and treatments.

Huge s Donna

Yes, I remember you and your baby sister quite well.
I am so, so very sorry to hear of your sister's death.
It is a loss I can only begin to imagine. No one quite like a sister to share our lives with.
You said she fought the beast with great courage and dignity.
I know she is smiling down on you today.
Take some comfort in knowing her suffering is over.
She was blessed to have you as her sister!
You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers.

Dear Donna..

Deepest sympathy to you and your family. It is hard to loose anyone to cancer and your sister was so young.

Hopefully she is looking down on the rest of us being our Angel.

Thank you for letting us know.

My sister

Dear Donna,

Your note knocked the wind out of me. I guess I feel so confident that I will kick this thing that the thought of death hasn't even entered into my mind. Your sister was, however, the same age as me when she was diagnosed. Hearing that she died within a year is very sobering.

I am so, so sorry for your loss and your family's loss. I truly hope and pray that your sister did not suffer too much, and that her passing gives her relief from any pain she might have felt.

Please know that your prayers for all of us are much appreciated.

We all wish you much love, and send our prayers and heartfelt condolences to you and your family.
