Finally got final pathology!!!

I finally received copies of my operative and pathology reports. Although I had a mess inside, everything was benign!!

All the "junk" was endo and adeno related. I am 3 weeks post today and am well on my way to recovery.

The final speed bump will be getting my hormones regulated.

Thanks to everyone here who helped me over the last few months.

For those who have an elevated CA 125 and a suspicious looking ovarian mass, I hope that my situation can give those waiting just a little bit of hope that it can be due to a benign situation.

My CA 125 was 398.

You are all in my thoughts and thanks again for your support.

Clarisse

I have been wondering how you were doing and have been thinking about you every day.

I am glad to hear you are on the mend and there were no C-word problems to deal with too.

I hope to see you in the chat room some day soon, if you are up to it.

Wishing you a speedy and uneventful recovery.

Love & (((HUGS)))

I am so very, very pleased for you that all is benign. I am in just the situation you were in - ovarian mass (cyst with solid matter) and raised CA125, waiting for surgery - and yes, this is encouraging. I have been told that it is possibly ovarian cancer, but may not be.

I'm glad to hear your general recovery is going well too. Maybe all other problems seem minor compared to the big C word?!

Finally got final pathology!!!

Congrats to you!!

I am happy that all everything came out good.

My ca125 number was not much higher than yours (454) and mine was ovarian cancer. Just goes to show that the numbers may not always mean cancerous.

Clarisse:

I love it when I get to say "I told you so" in a situation like this. The CA-125 can also be a marker for just how bad endo is, as well.

Doing the happy for you! Now, be a good ...

Dear Clarisse,

That is such wonderful news! My CA125 was half of yours, but . . . alas! My path was very different.

It's great that your experience can provide hope to the many women on this board who are waiting, waiting, waiting (such as Latina and others).

Many congratulations on bypassing the C-curve!
