follow-up to recurring endo on vaginal cuff

I will have abdominal surgery to remove endo on the vaginal cuff. It took me (literally) two years to get on the right ERT (Vivelle Dot .1 and .03). I'd like to remain on this ERT. Has anyone had recurring endo removed and still been able to remain on ERT without it recurring again? (I have no ovaries or uterus). Thanks in advance.

Hi gg,

Sending gentle hugs your way

Recurring endo has been a big fear of mine too, but so far so good in my case (16 months post op). I was having some intestinal problems and was fully prepared to stop taking my ERT (Estratest H.S.) if it turned out I had a recurrance. I even discussed this with my gyn and he very reluctantly said I could try going off the ERT if my intestinal problems didn't resolve. So I was planning to do that if necessary. Luckily, I'm doing great now ... and keeping my fingers crossed.

If you are feeling good on your ERT, I hope you'll be able to continue taking it. I have read posts from other gals here who have had endo recurrances and did stop taking ERT. But maybe that won't be necessary in your case ... please let us know what you decide. Sending positive energy your way.

follow-up to recurring endo on vaginal cuff

I can not offer any advise here since I am scheduled for ANOTHER lap for possible recurring endo the 30th.

I have been on premarin for almost 2 years and I had stage 3 endo and had NONE of it removed. As of now, I am still on the premarin until my Gyn finds out if it is the endo that is back.

I will keep this post in mind for after my lap so if it is the endo monster returning for another round I will know what to do as far as HRT.

I hope you get alot of advice of this one, it will help me too..
