2 yrs. post op having some concerns...

I had a vaginal hysterectomy(still have both ovaries)a little over 2 yrs. ago...was having some problems last summer(unrelated) and had an abdominal ct scan..the scan showed something on one of my ovaries...3 drs told me they wanted me in to see a surgeon for pre op visit...he siad if I had no pain there was no point in doing anything...still not sure what the problem was...he said either an abcess or cyst...well now I'm having all kinds of problems...I have pain on both sides..bladder problems(not an infection) I can't empty my bladder and am so bloated I look 6 months pregnant...severe hot flashes...vaginal dryness...extremely fatigued...I don't know if any of this is normal..I know I need to see the dr. but I'm scared to because it's always bad news...don't know if it could be menopause...I was only 25 when I had my surgery..almost 28 now...I'm just scared and don't know what to do...

I am sorry to hear that you are having problems especially after 2 years. Well I cannot answer your question simply because I had a TAH/BSO, but from some of the other readings that I have read maybe your ovaries have stopped working. On the other hand, my doctor chose to take everything out because I was so close to the age of 40 and he felt that since I had so many problems orginally that I would have problems if I had kept my ovaries. What kind of problems did you have before your surgery? Did you have cyst, endo, aden like myself?
