Been in and out

of the DR all week getting drains put in and IV fluids. Still battling this infection that has made my entire tummy hard with scar tissue. Can't post much cause it hurts to sit up but wanted to let everyone know what is happening. My DR is trying to keep me home by doing IVs in his office. Oh and now my PT level is 5.2. I overshot my 2-3 I needed so now I have really thin blood. Anyone have links about this combined with infections??

(((Sherry))) that sounds way too high! What are your DRs doing to help you? Have you been referred to a hematologist yet? I would strongly suggest you ask for a referral to one ASAP. Here are a couple of links to sites about Warfarin (Coumadin) therapy including warnings about its use with antibiotics and other drugs; developing an infection while on Coumadin can be pretty serious.

I'm not trying to scare you, sweetie just to persuade you to push harder for appropriate medical care. If I were in your position, I think I'd want to be in the castle being treated and monitored 24/7 until this crisis passes.

(((((Sherry))))) I'm not trying to scare you, sweetie, but I agree with ((((Linda))))): you need to be in the hospital, being closely monitored 24/7 until your levels are evened out and until this infection is healed. And hematologist should be involved in your care ASAP, in order for you to get better.

Sweetie, we want to help you, but we're not your doctor and there is only so much we can do over the web.

Take care, sweetie, and let us know how you're doing, once you're up to it.

PLEASE go to the ER now. You are not getting better. It looks worse and the fever is showing that your infection is NOT getting better.
Just my humble opinion....go to the castle.

OH Sherry!!

I have not been on in a few days and the last time I read one of your posts was when you put the picture on.

I am so sorry it is now an infection. I will pray that all of this will be behind you soon!! Maybe admitting you and hitting the infection hard is better than sending you back and forth for draining. You will be in my Pleasse let us know what the Dr says!!
