Back to the castle

Hi Ladies--
I have been back here every once in awhile. I had my tah 2 summers ago and now I have to go back this Tues. 4/29 to have my ovaries removed. I should have just had it all done at one time, but the dr. insisted I keep them because of my age (now I am 34). I now have cysts on ovaries and tons of adhesions and they are failing me because I have been experiencing terrible hot flashes, night sweats, mood swings, etc. I have been taking remifemin, which has been helping a little. I have been back to this site because I was having bowel problems. I have IBS. The last several days I have been having some rectal bleeding. It comes and goes the last couple of days. Anything I should be concerned about? Also, the gyn. also said he wants me to start taking premarin as soon as I have the surgery. Do I have an option? Would it be an option to continue taking the herbal Remifemin? Or is that more of a supplemental type thing? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

{{{{{{Troylynn}}}}} I am sorry to hear you need surgery again! There are many ladies on the site who have had their hysts only to go back and have their ovaries removed so you are not alone. I also have IBS and did have some rectal bleeding but that was caused by hemorrhoids. Is it possible you may have some? I would definitely bring this up to your doc ........he may want you to have further tests like a colonoscopy just to be sure. As for HRT or no HRT, that is a decision between you and your doctor. There are many options out there and if you need some help please check out the HJ or the No Hormone Oasis. The ladies there are great! I wish you much luck and remember to be a good princess! Please let us know how you make out!
