Colonoscopy results

First of all.....Good for you for getting your colonoscopy done! I am a huge supporter of colonoscopies!

When I was 36, I was fortunate enough to have some rectal bleeding. It continued for some time. It is easy to make excuses for unusual things when I barely even get colds. It could be hemorroids, or I ate strawberries.......

It did turn out to be colon cancer and I had a colon resection. All lymph nodes were negative and I didn't need to go through further treatment. Polyps are so easily treated....and colon cancer is so aggressive if not found early enough.

I was thrilled with your good news! I encourage anyone who has had ovarian or uterine cancer to have this easy test done. There are genetic links between female cancers and colon cancer. It is the reason that my normal annual gyn. appointment always included a pelvic ultrasound which ended up showing the cyst on my ovary.

Thank you for sharing your good news!
