Have had the Flu for 4 days now, Castle in 3 days, can I have one day to feel good??

Hi sisters,

Sorry I have not been around lately, DH came home and had the flu and passed it along to me FULL FORCE. It seems like when I catch something I get it all and then some. This is kicking my butt!! Fever is gone, but I still feel awful. Nose draining sown the back of my throat, body aches, fatigue, and I feel like I have something in the back of my throat. I know it is just the nasal sripping but it is very annoying.

I am getting very nervous about this lap for some reason and also scared they will postpone it if I am still sick. I already had all of my pre-op blood work done so they wont even know unless I tell them, but I am still just a little nervous. I guess that goes along with the nerves thing.

AGAIN I fear him going in and finding nothing. I guess that feeling has been conditioned into me over the years. I told my friend that is going to be there along with DH that if he tells them they found nothing that he had better GO BACK IN for another look or just scrape everything out anyway. My Gyn is good, but NO endo specialist.

DH has been pampering me the past few days, he is soooo sweet. He forced me out of the house tonight to go to dinner and a movie and I actually enjoyed it despite the uncomfortable chairs in the theatre and it making my back hurt. We really never got to celebrate our anniversary since we have both been sick. I dont know how to break it to him in a nice way, but I am so sick of him asking me what hurts. I feel like I am at a resterant when I reply "The usual"

Thanks for listening. I am just needing to vent a bit tonight, I am going through sister withdrawl...

((((((Pam))))))

I am so sorry that you have the flu
With your surgery only 3 days away, you might want to call your Dr. & let him know you've been real sick. I know you dont want to risk having your surgery postponed but its better safe than sorry.
I will be praying that you have a quick recovery from this flu
Please let us know how you are doing, ok? Take care of yourself & break out that chicken soup 's

Oh (((((Pam)))))) I'm so sorry you've been so sick. I'm right there with you on that one: for the past week, I've been fighting this nasty flu bug that is causing intense gastritis, fevers and chills: not fun

Sweetie, I agree with ((((Susan))))):This close to surgery, you need to call your doctor and mention that you have this flu. I know you do not want to have your surgery post-poned, however, not mentionning it and having the surgery despite the flu might result in serious complications. I've seen cases where the doctor simply prescribed strong antibiotics in order to make sure that the flu residuals were gone before the surgery.

Oh, and sweetie, I understand about being scared they won't find anything: I always feel that way and that it will turn out it was all in my head. On the other hand, I really don't want to be real sick.
