((((Sherry))))) I'm so relieved to see this recent post: I was really worried about you sweetie.

I'm sorry you've had to deal with another surgery However, I'm glad that they are dealing with your infection aggressively and that you're getting the home care that you need.

Hopefully you'll be on the road to recovery, finally, very soon.

Thanks everyone

This Groshong catheter in my chest is really not very attractive and is a real PITA, lol. I had my last IV antibiotics yesterday. When I changed my packing for the incision this morning blood ran down my leg. Scared the beejeevees outta me since this was the first time I did it alone. Hopefully it is ok. Home health is coming now 1 time a week to flush my IV and check my belly and do blood work. Fingers crossed and prayers said it looks like this may be it. I see my surgeon on Friday to find when I need to go back in to get the Groshong removed. They had said they wanted my belly closed but it looks like that may still be weeks away. Not sure how they will do that since to insert it my PT level had to be normal (had to be off coumadin and on IV heprin for a week). I know they will do it in the OR though. I am home alone overnight with 4 kids too for the first time today and tomorrow. LOL.

You all have been so sweet. The bills are starting to roll in. 26 inpatient days add up in the hosp even with insurance. If we figured right this hysterectomy and all it's problems will cost us out of pocket with the Hosp and the medications around $10,000. That is not including about 6 CAT scans, diff x rays, radioligist, Dr, and Home Health. Though me being well is PRICELESS! We will pay what we can when we can and try not to stress about it.
