It's Official!

Well after "lurking" around here for the last 4 or 5 weeks, and maybe giving my two cents occasionally, I have a date May 28th at 11:30 a.m. but I have to be at the castle (ok we need a emoticon for castle, hmmm maybe somebody can look into that.) at 9:00 a.m.

I'm now an official

With all the problems I have had and the way I have felt. I thought I would feel relief getting my date... but I'm feeling a bit jittery.

I'm sure I have enough to keep me busy the next couple of weeks. shopping, cleaning my house like never before, getting my will and living trust together etc etc etc..

I just pray all goes ok... I have a young daughter and I'm scared about going "under". I have already asked about the spinal or the epi, but my doctor has said no as my surgery is going to be complicated and long. She is expecting 3.5 to 4 hours. I turst her, but at the same time my weight has never been as high as it is today. I do have 4 weeks to get some weight off so maybe I can obsess about that and not the surgery!

Well ladies... will chat with you soon. I'm just happy that I have a date!

I wish you luck on your surgery - just remember your body needs to have lots of good nutrition to heal - try not to crash diet too much - I've heard of it causing longer recovery periods! I would definitly check with DR before starting any new diet

I had a tummy tuck and tah under epideral. It can be done. However, the last 1/2 they lost the epi needle and just used laughing gas--- and I remember plus in recovery they were still looking for needle so I didn't have enough pain killer. It was awful! Just talked to a friend who had general and she came out of it just fine. On top of everything- I had a migraine for 2 weeks and nerve problems in my leg from the epidural needle nicking the spinal fluid sack. So, don't worry about having an epi- I wouldn't again.
