good books to read?

Besides the 2 hyster sister books (already on order), does anyone have any book recomendations about sex after TAH? I am a research hound that will be having my surgery before the end of the year, and would like to warn my DH about blossoming changes that will be happening to me.

TIA
Kimber

good books to read?

Hi Kimber,

Hmmm. This book isn't specifically about sex after a TAH, but I thought it had some great information on the whole topic of hysts.

"The Woman's Guide to Hysterectomy: Expectations and Options" by Adelaide Haas PhD and Susan L. Puretz. There is a chapter in this book called "Let's Talk About Sex." It has sub-headings including: "Sex after Six Weeks - The Long-Term Outlook", "Women's Observations Following Hysterectomy/Oopherectomy" and "What Can You Expect Sexually as a Result of Hysterectomy, Menopause, and Getting Older?"

It's a great book ... hope this helps you!

good books to read?

I just got a book called, "Still as much a woman. A womans guide to hysterectomy and beyond." It is great. It covers it all. And also has personal stories to go with it.

Good luck in your book search.

good books to read?

Hi

I don't know if you have this one on order or not, but it is very good and I learned a lot from it. It is called "the Wisdom of Menopause" by Dr. Christiane Northrup. It really helped me understand a whole bunch of things I was clueless about.

Hope it helps you!

Sending you a

Patty
