Hello my hystersister, had my second opinion and i was comfortable talking to she told me somewhat the same thing my GYN told me about my fibriod uterus and the problems I can have with the as some of you might remember my history constipation, mymomectomy I had 12 removed and still have a few more left. I guess ima just tried of the whole fibriod uterus thing thats all i hear when visit any GYN dr. ( you know you have fibriods) besides all of the female things i have been through over the years including 2 tubal preg, so I don't have any tubes left. Thanks God i was able to have one child years ago who is now 20. We try the IVF thing did'nt work out as plan so all in all iam just tried of the old uterus any how so iam going to have the sugery hopefuuly some if not all my problems will resolve, but iam still alittle nervous. I will be having a TAH keeping ovaries on July 11. I'm 36 don't want to go into menopause no time soon. This site is awesome

Hi Honesty,

It sounds like you've really done some soul searching to come to this decision. Yes, it's still scary even if you know this is the best thing for you to do.

I had a lap myomectomy too, trying to avoid having a hyst. It turned out I had stage 4 endometriosis and I ultimately chose to have a TAH/BSO. It was not an easy decision for me, either.

You have lots of time to plan and prepare. Please keep us posted on how you are feeling. We'll do our best to provide support before and after your hyst. Sending gentle hugs your way.
