Cervical Cancer Videos

Cervical cancer may be detected via a colposcopy or a pap smear. CIN I/CIN 1, CIN II/CIN 2, CIN III / CIN 3 are considered various stages of cervical cell dysplasia and precursors to cervical cancer. Adenocarcinoma In Situ / AIS is the initial stage of a type of cervical cancer. Additionally you may hear of squamous intraepithelial lesions (HSIL) and Squamous cell carcinoma. HPV can lead to cervical cancer. LEEP or Cone biopsy procedures are done to excise abnormal tissues and determine if there is a need to progress to a hysterectomy. Cervical cancer is linked to HPV.
