TVH: Enema vs Mag Citrate?

Hi Ladies,
My preop instructions include an enema. I've never done either the enema or the mag. From what I've read, I'm assuming he enema will have a more localized (for lack of a better word) effect than the mag citrate since the mag is going to run the entire digestive tract. Any words of wisdom on the enema?

No words of wisdom. But I will be doing enemas too. I was given the choice between the two though. I figured the enemas would be the lesser evil of the two.

Yes an enema will only have a 'local' effect.
Every doctor seems to have a different preference for what they want done pre op
My doctor didn't require me to do any sort of bowel prep.
Main thing is to only do what's been asked and don't be tempted to add on extras.
