My DR gave me the same orders. I was very worried because the minute I'm told I have to have clear liquids only, I begin to starve. I didn't know how I was going to do it, but my fear of not following my dr's orders was greater than the fear of starving. I really did not want to contribute to anything possibly going wrong with the surgery, so I did exactly as I was told. And you know what, I didn't starve to death. Now that I look back, I was such a nervous wreck about the surgery, that the clear liquids was easy.

Too bad I didn't keep it up. I could stand to have clear liquids for about month now, hahahah.

You'll be eating whatever you want about a week from now. You will have people waiting on you hand and foot. Remember, No worries, follow the DR's orders, and you will be walking tall very soon.

clear means no tomato or cream soup either but you can have broth. Sorry - I know this is a bummer. I had to do it for one day before and it was really tough. You'll get through it, though.
