I don't remember having any hair loss right afterward (like from meds or something, and certainly no long-term thinning.
I hope you have the same good results. :-)

Is there anyone who hasn't had hair loss after thier hysterectomy?
I've had four surgeries in my life (not including childbirth) and have never had hair loss. I am three weeks post-op from TAH/BSO and have not noticed any hair loss yet. I assume I would notice something by now.
Also, I read the post-op forum while pre-op and imagined I would have to deal with every problem mentioned there. It made me frantic. In reality, my situation was different -- some things happened, most did not. While it is good to be prepared, you can drive yourself nuts and worry needlessly. Eventually I just read the pre-op forum. Good luck and God bless.

None for me
I can honestly say my menopausal symptoms have been minimal. Like the previous post certainly was prepared for most everything, but thankfully nothing except some itching (which I am having right now and it is driving me crazy). I have felt great. I was afraid I would loose some of my hair, and (knock on wood) at 13 weeks post op. It has not happened yet.
For a few days after surgery, I wondered if my hair was going to do the same as before my surgery. It seemed to NOT want to do anything. But after the anthesia got out of my system, my hair is growing like grass just like it used to.
Hope this helps.

Hi~
I was losing some hair prior to surgery, but it does seem to have increased. I know my hair is only about 2/3 as thick as it used to be. I'm not a big fan of this either!

No experience with hair loss, but noticed having very dry hair. Dry skin as well. Don't know if it is related to having the surgery, but didn't have this before.

Is there anyone who hasn't had hair loss after thier hysterectomy?
Hi, Peachesncream,
Since my hyst, my hair has become thicker and shinier, and my eyelashes are longer, too. Weird, eh? It may be related to HRT. My skin is also less dry than it used to be, and I believe the HRT has helped my skin. Please try not to worry, and I wish you the best of luck.
