Wilma may delay my trip to the Castle

I live in Clearwater, Fl and my surgery is for Monday the 24th. Most projections are for it to go south, but we are in the cone and it can turn this way. I am now ready for my day and now this may delay it. I am haveing a TAH and most likely a BSO. I have severe bleedy with major blood clots and cramping that keeps me home at least 1 day each month, sometimes more. I also have a Fibroid on the lower wall of my uterus.

I know this isn't the worst case put there, but I finaaly ready for it to be over, to become a new Woman. I'm 45, have 3 grown children and a 2 year old grandson.

Now that I have my mind set that this is the time, here comes Hurricane Wilma to threaten a cancellation. I feel so bad for the Ucatan and what they have been going thrufor the past several days, and at the same time I am praying it doesn't come this way so I can go to the castle on Monday.

Thats for letting my vent, I needed to get this said to someone.

And to all other Sisters that went this week and going next week, I am praying tht everything goes great for you.

I feel your pain! If Wilma does come for a visit and you lose power you might be happy your not in a hospital then. I thought about that before my surgery as I live in Orlando area. Godspeed with the surgery, I am happy to be on the other said nowHUG

Wilma may delay my trip to the Castle

I hope that Wilma just goes away ( or dies a sudden death ). I know how waiting and watching can get to you. I live on the southeast Texas coast and we're still cleaning up after Rita. I'm praying hard that Florida ( & the rest of the US ) will be spared Wilma's wrath.

Best wishes, you're in my prayers that all will go well for you.

Wilma may delay my trip to the Castle

I definitely know how you feel. I live 45 miles sw of new orleans and my surgery was rescheduled twice. The first time was right on the thursday after Katrina because the hospital was full with evacuees and unable to get supplys since the supplys usually come from no. they reshceduled me and the same thing happended for rita. i finally had my surgery on 9/29. I pray though that wilma stays away from you and that it continues to weaken. I still cry when I see New Orleans, even though I didn't go that often it was always just a 30 minute trip away and it is truly amazing that this city is still just about a ghost town. It will be a long time in rebuilding. good luck to you again
