TAH: On a budget...what's the most important stuff to buy for an open hysterectomy?

Loose bottoms and undies. Heating pad, TV stand next to my bed (so helpful to keep meds, water, tissue etc) I would've liked a gripper lol, but I survived without one too!! Panty liners, stool softners, prune juice (just in case). Keep in mind a few of these items could be borrowed from family or friend to keep your costs down. Best wishes to you

I am addicted to my binder. It's like a security blanket! I got the largest one from this site and since it wraps I am able to adjust as swelling goes up and down. They gave me a binder in the hospital but the one I got from here was bigger. I agree about the grabber! I have one and carry it with me! I have seen grabbers in the dollar store and it would be the best bang for your buck!!
