Re: Tomorrow is the day and I'm petrified!

Ladies - I had my LSH/BSO last Thursday and I too was scared to death to go thru with it, but now that its been 4 days post op - everything is great. I was afraid of the gas pains, but since I pumped my legs alot in the hospital bed and walked right away, I have been spared the gas pains. The hardest part for me now is just sitting and relaxing and letting others wait on me. I know I need to rest in order to heal properly so I can get back to my life. Bless all of you and keep the faith and know that everything will be okay.

I too was petrified going into surgery. I also was on the schedule first thing. Since I had a Da Vinci with a single incision, I was out by 2pm. The gas pains can be bothersome but just make sure you have gasX and a stool softener at home. It does get better.

How i feel now, makes me wonder why i waited so long. My first few days after surgery, I did use my RX pain med and took it easy. Then i found myself over doing it because I just felt soooooo much better. So just remember.....

You only get to heal once. and Pamper the

Everything will be okay! You'll get through it just fine, you'll see! I'm five weeks post-op tomorrow and feeling better and better with each week!

I am so glad I had this hysterectomy! No more painful periods, woo hoo!

Best of luck to you, come back and wave "hi" to us after your trip to the castle!
