Oh God- silly question- best underwear post surgery?

I bought some granny underwear tonight & some sweats!

Big enough to hold a washcloth in place for wheepy incisions. I found pads less breathable, less comfy & gauze cost $.

I found that the best underwear is no underwear. I was fortunate to not have any bleeding after my TAH and for the first several weeks I could not stand to have anything around my pelvic area at all. I was quite comfy in my long silk nighties!!!

I had boy shorts underwear from Victoria Secrets and they worked the best. They covered my entire incision which was from hip to hip without constricting, very comfortable. Main thing is to be comfortable and cover your entire incision or lap sites so they edges of panties don't rub incision. Hope that helps!

I did cotton high leg grannies, but I went up a size - best decision ever. Anything too tight on my tummy was excruciating, but the next size up was perfect. I wore them for months until I remembered that no uterus = no periods, so I wear pretty panties now!

I am not even kidding here, I didn't wear any underwear for a while after my surgery. Fortunately I didn't bleed after the first couple of days and I found nothing was the most comfortable. I wore really loose pajama pants. The strange thing about this is I NEVER went without pantie before, I mean TMI but I would put them back on after sex even and I just found with the total abdominal situation and the 37 staples that none felt best. I hope this doesn't scare you, I just thought it wouldn't hurt to hear a different perspective. After about 4 weeks I started wearing cotton men's boxer briefs.(Hubby's) I wore those for quite a while until I could wear bikinis again. I had my surgery 22 October 2013. I am really feeling good now--actually better than ever. Best of luck to you

Funny enough Victoria's Secret "cheeky" nice loose fit higher waisted in front without binding or sucking the life out of you at all. It's all I have been able to wear. Fits winged pads or liners.
